Hello & welcome to the Penistone In Pen web site., This site is aimed at viewing the South Yorkshire market town of Penistone which is 747 feet above sea level & 177 miles from London. It has lots of history attached to it and you can find lots of facts about the town on the other sites in our Links & Info page, as these sites deal more with this side of the town. The other sites are very good indeed for new & old information please pay them a visit. When you look around you will find some buildings are not there any more, but have been captured for ever by the local artist called D.R.Taylor ,who kindly gave permission to use his work on this site. Mr Taylor has been a winner in the local agricultural show with his work & also had a few runner up entries as well. The show is an annual event usually in September time but you can check the other sites for more info on the exact dates.
